Sarajevo: 5th anniversary of the death of Alija Izetbegović commemorated

SARAJEVO, October 20 (FENA) - By Saying of the Al-Fatih Prayer and laying of flowers on the grave of the first president of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and founder and honorary president of SDA, Alija Izetbegovic, the 5th anniversary of his death was commemorated at the Kovaci cemetery in Sarajevo.

Medals of the righteous among the nations awarded in Sarajevo

On Thursday evening a ceremony was held at the Jewish municipality in Sarajevo in which medals were handed as recognitions awarded by the Museum of the Holocaust from Israel “Yad Vashem” which is awarded since the foundation of the Jewish state and given to those who had courage to save lives of persecuted Jews in the WWII.

Silajdzic: Tensions are not being raised due to my speeches, but due to the facts

Bosniaks.Net: I had a special privilege of attending your performance on May 26, 2007, during which you brought the audience to feel that they were back in their homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina. You performed before a full house, at the dinner organized by Congress of North American Bosniaks, which dinner was attended by some 800 Bosniaks including leading political and religious leaders who flew in from Bosnia for the occasion of the 12-th annual gathering of North American Bosniaks.
