Sarajevo, December 22nd 2017 (MINA) - Grand Mufti (Raisu-l-Ulama) of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein effendi Kavazović, sent his congratulations to Catholics on the occasion of Christmas. In his message to Archbishop of Vrhbosna cardinal Vinko Puljić he said:
Your Eminence,
We are joyous that you, our Catholic neighbors, are about to celebrate your holy days. Your joy is our joy, and your sorrow is our sorrow. We share your hopes and your fears, for we are all sons of Adam, and Adam was created from earth. Just as we share the Earth we were all created from, so is this part of Earth called Bosnia and Herzegovina our common home, and we are all equally responsible for its future.
I wish you and all Catholics in Bosnia and Herzegovina all the best for the upcoming holidays, and may the joy of holidays spark the spirit of God's mercy and His grace within you.
I pray to God Almighty that He may bring peace and understanding to the peoples of our country and the entire world, especially in the holy Land of Palestine, which is yearning for justice today just as it was yearning for it on the day Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him, was born.
Hoping that we will celebrate future holidays in even better health and prosperity, I offer my heartfelt congratulations.
