Grand Mufti's letter to Anne-Marie Revcolevschi on the occasion of the "Aladdin Project"

Dear Mrs. Revcolevschi,
I hope this letter finds you in good health as we are approaching January 27, 1945, the day when Auschwitz was liberated and nowadays commemorated around the world as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
I am writing you as a Bosnian Muslim supporter of the Aladdin Project under the patronage of UNESCO with the aim of countering Holocaust denial and all forms of racism and intolerance, while promoting intercultural dialogue, particularly among Muslims and Jews as well as a visitor at the former Nazi death camp of Auschwitz on February 1, 2011 that you have organized in a gesture of interfaith solidarity designed to refute deniers of the Holocaust.
I will never forget pictures I have seen in Auschwitz last year. Feelings of pain that have been created in me during the visit to Auschwitz will never die and will always motivate me to counter Holocaust deniers whoever they are because their denial is a sign that they are capable to do this evil again.
Indeed, the most heinous of crimes is the denial of the crime against humanity - Holocaust and Genocide.
Those who glorify evils must be countered by all means and must be stopped by showing them that such evils will not be tolerated. The Biblical Cain who killed his brother Abel had realized his sin, but the Norwegian terrorist Anders Behring Breivik did not. Breivik believes that killing 77 human beings and injuring 151 on July 22, 2011, on the Island of Utoeya in Norway is a noble deed to do. Likewise, the Serbian war criminals Radovan Karadžić and Ratko Mladić believe that killing more than 8.000 Bosnian Muslims in Srebrenica on 11th of July, 1995 is a heroic deed to be proud of.
Following their logic, the current President of the Bosnian Entity "Republika Srpska" Milorad Dodik denies Srebrenica Genocide despite the fact that the European Parliament has passed a Resolution on the 15th of January, 2009 in which members of the European Union and the Western Balkan States are asked to commemorate the 11th of July as the Day of Remembrance on Genocide in Srebrenica (I am sending you a copy of the Resolution).
It is good news that the parliaments of Croatia, Slovenia, Monte Negro, Macedonia and partially Serbia did adopt the European Parliament Resolution on Srebrenica Genocide, but the State of Bosnia-Herzegovina, where the victims of Genocide live in pain, did not because of Milorad Dodik's denial of Genocide.
It is because of Milorad Dodik's denial of Srebrenica Genocide that I am writing you this letter convinced that you will raise your voice against Milorad Dodik's denial of Genocide. It is very unfortunate that Milorad Dodik, as a denier of Genocide, has been welcomed recently in Tel Aviv by official Israelite authorities. This Israelite official reception of the Serbian politician Milorad Dodik is against the spirit and "aim of countering Holocaust denial and all forms of racism and intolerance, while promoting intercultural dialogue, particularly among Muslims and Jews".
Hence, in the spirit and aim of the Aladdin Project, which I sincerely support, I expect your voice to be heard against Milorad Dodik's denial of Srebrenica Genocide as well as your sincere advice to the Israelite Government not to welcome the Serbian politicians who deny Srebrenica Genocide.
Together we can stop the crime of the denial of Holocaust and Genocide and thus tell victims of such evils that they are not alone in their struggle to prove the obvious and undeniable truth about their suffering.
As my thoughts these days are with the victims of Auschwitz, please accept my personal greeting and best wishes to you and the Aladdin Project as a reminder that crimes against humanity cannot be rewarded.
The crimes against humanity - Holocaust and Genocide - must be punished here and in the hereafter, InshaAllah!
