Religious-educational service of the Riyasat represents an important sector of the Islamic Community in BiH. The name of this service it self points to a wide spectrum of the tasks and duties which are under its control.

This service of the Riyasat has got six full-time employees, five highly educated and one higher educated who, within the context of the appropriate documents, perform their duties.

The service forms periodical or permanent expert committees, teams or editorial staffs for appropriate activities, working out projects, plans and programs of educational and pedagogical work on every level of the Islamic Community, and some of the educational and pedagogical institutions, too.

Religious-educational work in Bosnia and Herzegovina has a wide range of activities taking place on different levels. That means: imam-khatib's, vaiz's, daiya's, mu'allima's and religious teacher's work, work of the teaching staff in schools and degree-granting educational institutions, then, writing, preparing and printing reference books and textbooks for maktabs, religious instruction and madrasas, and work through the electronic media. Individuals, families, jamats, educational and pedagogical and great number of other institutions are treated through different forms of the religious-educational activites .

Muslim religious school teaching is held in maktabs. Teaching plan (curriculum) and program were outlined in an inflective way so that their application can be easily adapted for real conditions which objectively differ in different regions.

Religious teaching is held in primary and secondary schools in the whole country. The State's supreme law for primary schools insured to religious teaching equal status with other subjects, right to work for religious teachers, and it stabilized the position of this subject in the educational system of state owned schools in BiH.

Riyasat entrusted to Religious-educational service with the Islamic Community work in the public media, the Service therefore plans and organizes this important activity on every level in BiH.

This service, also, plans and organizes madrasa students' traveling to different Islamic universities abroad and follows their progress in studies until their return and assigns them to suitable work tasks.

Religious-educational service works on data processing for Takvim of the Islamic Community and edits the collection of the most printing Riyasat's edition under the same name.

As a part of the Service the report for statistics and documentation is intensively developed, this data helps personnel in organizing the institution of the Islamic Community. The Service, also, processes and keeps official documentation which refers to all of the reports in its competence; it includes primarily the one that refers to imams, mu'allimas, religious teachers, leading imams, muftis, and professors and educators of the educational and pedagogical offices in the Islamic Community.

LAW AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE

Activities of the service:

Law and administrative service of the Riyasat participates in activities in the field of law such as working out plans for general acts, decisions, conclusions, contracts, filing law suits, complaints, objections and other general acts;

-         draws up requests, files cases, complaints and objections, gives to services professional instructions and helps about legal remedies;

-         follows regulations and directs other services to legal activities in their jobs, offers  legal assistance;

-         represents the Riyasat and its institutions in courts and administrative organs;

-         takes part in other kinds of activities in the field of law such as  decision making, bringing the verdicts, certificates, legalizations and all other requests and other matters in this field, works out contracts about legal-work relationships, keeps file on personnel cards of workers and so on.

In order to perform these activities this service also has administrative and secretarial division that is responsible for keeping the main book of protocol and the file on the arrival and the distribution of mail.

Other activities of this service include maintenance of the business property and work space of the services and organs of the Riyasat, purchasing of the material for this purpose, current maintenance, technical repairing of the working tools and machines which are not under obligation of the authorized service shops, maintenance of the electrical and water supplies and other installations in the business buildings of the Riyasat. Also, organization of the courier and porter jobs, jobs of transportation, works on maintenance of the cleanliness and hygiene falls under responsibility and tasks of the Law and Administrative service.

BUILDING AND TECHNICAL SERVICE

Activities of the service:

-         tasks  referring to building and technical sector:

-         preparation of work contracts and supervision of the work performed;

-         occasional hiring of outer co-operators;

-         periodical supervision of some buildings according to the building law;

-         certifying the situations about the works performed, co-operates with other services in connection with civil engineering;

-         supervision of some of the properties according to the building law;

-         working out of the project documentation, preliminary measure and preliminary calculation;

-         public and internal auctions.

ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL SERVICE

Activities of the service:

Accounting and financial service does all the works in connection with bookkeeping for the twelve institutions of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community: Secretariat of the Riyasat with Cabinet of the Reis-ul-ulama, Gazi Husref-bey's madrasa, Gazi Husref-bey's Waqf, Gazi Husref-bey's library, Faculty of the Islamic Sciences, „Preporod", „El-Kalem", Waqf Directorate, Center for the Islamic Architecture, Agency „MINA", „Glasnik", „Udruženje Ilmijje"  (Ilmija association) and two sub institutions (Office for Hajj and Office for Bosniak's diaspora with financial working group for them), and the control of the approving budget realization separately for each institution  and plan with analysis of the plan realization.

This service also follows accounting and financial work of the majlises and mufti units head offices on the region of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community, gives directives and instructions in connection with these questions, audits final accounts of the majlises and mufti units head offices and makes entry of these within the integral annual report for the Islamic Community Congress.
